Center on High-performance Computations is a research structure in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, “George Emil Palade” University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș operated by scientists from the field of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Acquisition, Control Engineering, and Bioinformatics. The Center provides infrastructure for performing inter and multidisciplinary research and investigations that need high-performance computing support in the medicine, healthcare, and engineering fields.
The main research domain covers application in health care, medicine, and pharmacology of intelligent systems, decision support systems, physician’s collaboration support systems, drug combination therapies prediction, drug-drug interactions prediction, decision support systems for drug administration to pregnant women. Results that could be obtained include predicted drug combination therapies, drug-drug interactions, decision support systems for drug administration to pregnant women.
The secondary research direction is related to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Industry 4.0, and Smart factories, being focused on industrial processes optimization and different methods of prediction, big data analysis, and intelligent processing.
